Here we are yet again in the aftermath of the shooting of a young black man by a female white police officer. Even though all evidence points to a dreadful accident, wherein the cop thought she had her Taser in hand but in reality had her firearm, the Left needs this to be racial in nature. And so they have made it racial.
How? By simply calling it a racially-motivated police brutality murder. Within 48 hours of the incident, the Brooklyn Center, MN City Manager, Police Chief, and the officer in question have all resigned or been fired for simply standing up for due process instead of instantly bowing to mob justice. Within 24 hours, a “press conference” was held, in which the “press” sounded more like community activists, shouting leading questions framing the incident in a racist light, even shouting down the Police Chief when he dared call riots what they were (one so-called reporter can clearly be heard shouting “Don’t do that!”), refusing to accept that in the United States, we still have due process and ALL people have a right to it. Media members were actively and loudly calling for the police officer’s firing and prosecution for murder, when the bodycam footage released at the conference clearly demonstrated that she thought she was about to Tase the guy, and instead ended up shooting him once. Nevermind that the kid in question had a firearms-related warrant out for his arrest, turning a routine traffic stop for an expired plate into a felony arrest. Nevermind that the kid fought with the officers trying to cuff him, broke free, and dived back into his car to escape (that’s when the shooting happened). Nevermind that plenty of poor decisions were made on both sides and that this was simply a stressful situation that spiraled out of control. None of that matters.
But why? Why are the media so blatantly and transparently wrenching factual stories into racial incidents with no evidence at all? Here’s a little historical background, looking back to the Russian revolution in 1917.
After the arrest and abdication of Tsar Nicholas, a Provisional Government was formed; this was a body that was supposed to transition the country to some form of representative democracy, made of of competing factions of hard-line Tsarists, nobility, and liberal but more centrist Socialists. Across town in St. Petersburg, the far-left Socialist Revolutionaries, Menshaviks, and Bolsheviks formed the first Soviet (“Soviet” simply means “council” or “committee” in Russian) and elected an Executive Committee led by such luminaries as Lenin, Beria, Trotsky, and others. The Soviet was opposed to the Provisional Government, bent on completing their Marxist revolution and shedding representative democracy entirely; “all power to the Soviets!” was the rallying cry. They knew that they had to convince the population at large that the Soviets were the future, and the number one way they did that was through the media. A number of newspapers were started directly by the Executive, and existing ones wishing to remain in the good graces of the Lenin-led Bolsheviks willingly threw their hats in the ring; all of those papers took their editorial direction directly from Lenin and Trotsky themselves. Both Bolsheviks regularly contributed content, and gave the Editors their marching orders to get whatever message they wanted out. Invariably, that message was “loot the looters” (anti-Capitalist propaganda and hatemongering) and painting the Provisional Government as hopelessly Tsarist and counter-revolutionary. Very little factual reporting was allowed, and that only when the facts served the purposes of the Soviet Executive.
Fast forward to today: we are seeing this happen again. The media has abandoned any pretense of objectivity, willingly throwing their lot in with the Communists in the Democrat Party. Congressional press offices are indistinguishable from newsrooms as both coordinate their message to “shape public opinion”. Recent revelations from Project Veritas are just the tip of the iceberg and completely representative of the eagerness of news organizations to support the Communist cause. Social media outlets actively suppress any narrative that contradicts the accepted “right-think” as dictated by their political masters. It is impossible to separate media CEOs from politicians: they are both parts of the same machine. They define Truth. They control Truth. They are the final say on what is right and what is unacceptable.
So here we are, with a media bent on pounding the racial strife drum. They are not stupid, they are not blind, they are not ignorant. They are willfully and willingly being used by the Communist machine. If they need a racial incident, by God they will make it a racial incident.
